The impact of COVID 19 on our society remains a concern for us all.
The Association committee this week reviewed the viability of key events over the coming three months including the Master’s and Youth Championships at BCYC 20th/21st June and the National Championships in Looe from July 25th.
Safe distancing remains the cornerstone of all policies and guidance issued to mitigate the spread of the illness. Compliance with these requirements throughout a championship event would not be viable for competitors or those running the event, both on and off the water.
Therefore, the decision has been made to cancel these events.
Alternative dates for the Inland’s, Masters/Youths and other open meetings will be published on our Facebook and web pages where circumstances allow them to be run safely.
We are booked in Brixham from the 14th August for our 2021 Nationals. We return to Looe in 2024 when we will aim to have the first full week of the school holidays in England again.
Those entrants for Looe 2020 who have already paid their entry fee can roll their entry over to Brixham 2021 or receive a refund. Please email info@sailenterprise.co.uk stating your Sail number, Helms name and choice of rollover or refund. Anyone requiring a refund is asked to also state the Bank Account details for the transfer to be made into .
Meanwhile we ask that you sail safely and where you cannot travel get those Blue Sails out on local waters. It is always good to remind our clubs what great boats and people the Ent’s are.
